FoxyTunes Planet launches
Today, after running for a while in a private beta, we are finally opening the first beta of FoxyTunes Planet to the public!
First, we wanted to thank everyone for the amazing feedback you sent us during the private beta.
So, what’s FoxyTunes Planet and why would you want to use it?
FoxyTunes Planet is a Universal Personalized Music Aggregator. Is this obscure enough? Then, read on… 
Everything’s in one place
Each page on FoxyTunes Planet aggregates music information and rich media from all around the Web and allows you to instantly access all the great things that are out there – be it artist radio stations, recommendation services, videos, photos, reviews and so on.
Music related content should be abundant - why limit yourself to only one or two music sites, when there is an entire Internet out there. FoxyTunes Planet brings the entire Web of Music to your fingertips!
You choose
FoxyTunes Planet is personalizable - you are free to decide what you see and how you see it. Each piece of content, such as videos on YouTube or radio stations on Last.fm is presented in a “widget” – a little panel that allows you to quickly browse through the content. You can add, remove, reorder and configure the widgets any way you like – to create your own unique view on the world of music. FoxyTunes Planet already has many cool widgets and the list will be growing soon.

Great!! From day one I entered the closed beta I have thought: It would be great to have the FoxyTunes toolbar integrated with FoxyTunes Planet! And here it is

Foxytunes is awesome i love it because i don’t have to hop from firefox to itunes all the time and it has some neat features with wikipedia and stuff. I like to play along with the songs when i listen to music and look up tabs. if there were a feature that would allow you to search for guitar, drum, or bass tabs from the song you’re listening to from sites like ultimate-guitar.com and metaltabs.com that would be awesome. Just a suggestion

Been on “The Planet” for a few weeks now, and it has enhanced everything about music browsing for me, quick feedback on the few questions I’ve had and just all in all a great experience.

Congrats - belatedly - Alex! I really like foxyplanet. My only suggestion is figuring out how to bring in editorial content to the aggregator you have built. It would be lovely to see a widget for Pitchfork reviews, for example, and other genre reviews beyond alternative/indie music (which is Pitchfork’s focus).

@Paul - thanks! We’re planning a lot more for both FoxyTunes Planet, the browser extension and the integration between the two, and editorial reviews is definitely something we’re planning to add.

sonny here. hi,this is one of the best website i have ever try.i have had so much fun.FOX TUNE PLANET had all the music video that i enter.i know this maybe a bit much, but i wish i could have download some video or maybe i don’t know how.”o” by the way, i am 63 years young. i was on fox tune planet for about three hour. what do that tell you (smile).
